Connor is super awesome! We always hear people complain about teenagers. They are moody, get into trouble and disrespect their parents. Not our Connor! If all of our kids turn out to be teenagers like him...well, our lives as parents will be cake! Although we realize that this is highly unlikely.
This year Connor is a Junior in high school this year. He does very well in school as long as he applies himself. He is super smart! Connor is the kind of kid who is always asking questions about things. He wants to know how things work, who invented things and why things are they way they are. He has always been this way. In fact, even as a small child he often would rather watch discovery channel or something like that over cartoons. He loves coming up with new invention ideas. This year will be Connor's second year of ROTC, which has been a really great opportunity for him. He loves strenuous activity and looks for ways to make simple exercises even harder. I know, crazy right? He just loves a challenge. His most recent en devour is Parkour and is teaching a class at a local tumbling gym to kids 10 and under. Connor is a super funny kid. His sense of humor is fantastic. Sometimes he comes across as shy and unassuming, but once that kid gets talking, he makes everyone laugh. He is the only teenager I know who doesn't mind having his toddler sister tag along. What a great big bro! I love that Connor likes who he is. He doesn't try to be anything other than that. He is what he is and that's what you get. My favorite quality in Connor though is that he is simply just a nice guy.
Connor is an incredible young man! We feel so very blessed to have him as part of our family.
